Sam Malpass’ wanderlust lifestyle and collection of eclectic photographs from her travels are the source of her inspiration.
Hailing from Rye Beach New Hampshire, Sam now resides in Charleston, SC. As an artist, it’s no surprise her home is a unique studio of its own. With richly saturated hues and evocative murals she captures the soul and style of her work into her home.

Favorite place to travel to? Is your home a curation of any specific destination/place?
A lush, tropical place with surf is always the go-to. The culture surrounding the beach tends to be simple and always inspires my palette. I try to make my home much like my art- a unique collection of inspiring things that take me back to these idyllic destinations.
Guilty shopping pleasure?
Very into unique glassware.
Favorite item from Destination Haus and why?
All of the jewelry and jewelry boxes at Destination Haus are always super unique and flattering.
Who did the design for your house, if you- where did you get your inspiration?
My parents have been designing and building homes for as long as I can remember — usually right over our heads. I basically grew up climbing ladders to get to bed. Watching spaces transform around me was (and still is) incredibly inspiring. My love for travel and need for constant change keeps my home fairly minimalistic but I would describe it as totally relaxed, plush and inviting- sort of hippie chic.
Favorite cocktail?
Depending on my mood- dirty martini and or a spicy, salty margarita.
